Pulse ox Script mailed and an SOA episode!

Well I Love helping my Dad. I just LOOOVE helping him. Today I was out helping him in the yard some. Yeah even with a trach and a vent I will do whatever I can to help  my parents. Well I got short of Air today off the vent and so had to put it on and have been using it ever since. GRRRRR, I really love helping my Dad and I didn't need that episode. I'm also having quite a bit of plugging going on and suctioning is through the roof. But I'm still Loving life, because LIFE IS WONDERFUL!! It could ALWAYS, be worse. ALWAYS!!!!

In Other News, we mailed my Pulse ox Script in today and so I'm hoping that this will get taken care of and that I can get the pulse ox that i want which is as stated many times, the Masimo Radical 8. That pulse ox will always be a special pulse ox to me. Anyhow, I also requested the Neonatal wraps. Why?

You might be asking why an adult would request the Neonatal wraps. Well I LOVE those, because they are comfortable, and I put my pulse ox on my foot at night because it's where It gets the best readings at and I sleep with my hands near my face and hold onto the vent circuit, so that LED light won't get in my eyes. Not that it bothers me, but It can somewhat get in the way of sleep sometimes, and It seems that from experience with pulse oximeters, neonatal wraps are the most acurate and comfortable for me.  On my HP Viridia Patient Monitor I currently have one of the clamp reusable sensors and they're comfortable for me, however they really  are not designed for continuous monitoring which is what I need and so if I'm going to be at my bedside for a short period of time the bedside monitor is OK, however if I'm at my computer continuously I need to monitor my SPO2 and this will be better on my foot as I'll be using my hands, and especiallyif  I'm playing on the Piano. It's kinda hard to play "Capriccio," if you've got a pulse ox on your finger. LOL!!!!!!

here is what I'm thinking that I'll do for night time monitoring. I'll use the ECG and the Blood Pressure Monitors on my Bedside Monitor and the Pulse oximeter that was ordered will be what I use for the SPO2 readings as  It will be more of a propper sensor setup for mynight time pulse ox, and  I can always use the bedside monitor Pulse Ox if am not so sure about the  stand alone pulse oximeter's readings.

Also if I'm out with my friend Heather and I'm having a lot of desats that day or just tired I can take that pulse ox with me and It'll be there to monitor me closer! it will be more of a thing to carry, but hey, there are people who pack a vent, a pulse oxx, suction machine, oxygen tanks, feeding pumps, apnea monitors, occasionally ETCO2 monitors, and other supplies back and fourth every day, so I am not going to complain.

I have no reason to.

LOL!!

In other words, I've recently composed two more Minuets. A Minuet in D Major, and a tiny Minuet in G Major similar to the style of Bach, or Johann Krieger.
